The Real Satan
This is Endtime23's personal favourite and his proudest moment!
However, it is full of stolen and plagiarized material from other authors.

There is considerable speculation, at least in religious circles, as to who the Antichrist is — or will be — in our time.  Some religionists even try to distinguish between Satan, the Devil, and the Antichrist.  In reality, they are the same being or spiritual entity.  One source says that the Antichrist will be Judas reincarnated.  Other sources point to the European Union as his birthplace or preferred domain.  Actually, the Antichrist looks for a place or position from which he can leverage his influence in the world-at-large.

Perhaps you have seen movies in which Satan or the Devil appears in a human form, and causes all manner of evil (The Omen, End of Days, Devil's Advocate, etc.).  Such common characterizations are fictional, but they point to a larger truth:  the Devil is real, and is able to walk around on this Earth in human form.  That is a fact.  Satan is not just a monster with horns and a tail, a popular image of this non-human entity.  Satan can take on (or walk into) a human body on Earth.  To some, this is imagination, or it may seem to just be idle conjecture.  However, it is real and true.  Satan lives to undermine and ultimately try to usurp God; to attack, weaken, destabilize, or subvert the Divine plan, Highest Good, or Will of God.  He enters human affairs in the most stealthy and devious manner, knowing he will not be recognized for who he is, and then does his best to overturn the Divine Will.         In past lives, Satan has been Genghis Khan, Pharaoh Ramses III, Judas, Herod (Antipas), Dante, Columbus, Nietzsche, and Hitler.  This is just a "short list."  There are many others, some of whom brought false spiritual teachings that became the basis of various religious ideologies.  Satan does not always take on a blood-thirsty human life.  At times he appears to stand for "good," or takes on a seemingly benign role, such as a philosopher, poet or even a musician.  But, that is just a sham, a cover, or an even greater attempt at deceiving God.  Look a bit deeper and you will almost always see signs of total immorality, spiritual corruption, deceit, abuse, self-absorption, and megalomania.

Satan cannot resist doing great evil on a very large scale, personally, for very long.  So he lives "human" lives.  We will explore some of the more recognizable roles he has played:
  • Genghis Khan, the original "barbarian at the gate," slaughtered one fifth of the world's population in his day.
  • Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus Christ.  He was hoping to block the Work, Will, and saving Grace of God.  Jesus is quoted: "Have not I chosen you twelve; and one of you is a devil?"
  • King Herod the Great, father of Herod Antipas (who judged Jesus), has been called "the evil genius of the Judean nation."  He preceded the arrival of Jesus, and was, like his son Antipas, Evil incarnate.  "The story about the slaughter of infants of Bethlehem in the second chapter of the Gospel of Matthew is not known from other sources, but it would have been totally in character for the later Herod to commit such a terrible act."  Herod is also credited with burning the Essenes alive in their temple, both teachers and students, in what was a likely attempt to block the coming, erudition, and Work of Jesus.  His son Herod Antipas, the spiritual opposite of Jesus, mocked, abused, and judged Jesus.
  • Dante Alighieri, in his Inferno, described the many levels of Hell, in graphic detail.  This was not mere idle conjecture; Dante had firsthand knowledge of Hell.  Dante, the prolific "poet" was intimately familiar with Hell, since he is its chief architect.
  • Christopher Columbus is credited with the rape, forced labor, barbaric torture, and mass murder of millions of Native Americans to begin an unending pattern of racism, slavery, and genocide.  Columbus is called the Devil by Native Americans, to this day.  Columbus began a reign of terror that is remarkable for the fact that it is celebrated each year in the US as a holiday.  (And, since so many Native Americans were killed, blacks were brought from Africa, in a further pattern of horrific slavery, torture, and killing, to take the place of Native American slaves.)
  • Friedrich Nietzsche clearly wrote his own autobiography in The Antichrist; he believed in power for the sake of power, and the elimination of the "weak."
  • And, Adolph Hitler, who adored Nietzsche's philosophy, was perhaps the greatest madman of them all, also hell-bent on the genocide of millions.
This is all the work of the same evil spiritual force or entity: Satan.  If this is not Evil incarnate, what is?  Satan is real; he is alive and well, and living on planet Earth.  Or, do you imagine that all evil is man-made or "natural"?  There is a hierarchy of evil, reaching up from the simple elements which make up this Earth, up to the vegetable kingdom, the animal kingdom, the human class, the spiritual class, the galactic level, and the universal level.  Evil, suffering, abuse, exploitation, deception, degradation, and death exist on all of those levels.

In order to understand Satan, you have to understand consciousness.  Consciousness is something which permeates this entire universe.  Mankind has very limited consciousness, and yet is able to view photographs of billions of stars and galaxies and super-clusters of galaxies.  Now, expand your thinking.  There is a being, a consciousness, which is conscious of the entire universe, and every galaxy.  It is not benign.  It is Satan.  And, generally, it is limited to this universe, or this small part of creation (there are, in reality, limitless universes).

Evil is an aberration.  In nearly all of the rest of creation (in the Divine realm), Evil does not exist; it never has existed, and it never will exist.  But, Evil certainly exists in this world.  Evil is not just a human phenomenon which creeps into human affairs.  It has existence of its own, far beyond human affairs in this world.  There is a source of Evil, the larger consciousness, taking in all the galaxies in the universe; and there is the very personal consciousness which is able to focus in on human affairs in this world.  That consciousness, being, mind, or source of Evil is often referred to as Satan, the Devil, or the Antichrist.  The less aware you are, the less you understand Evil, the more likely you are to be ruled by it.  And, the fact is, Satan has ruled this world for a very, very long time.  If you do not understand Evil, you have little defense from it.

The Antichrist is a spiritual entity, a non-physical being, who is able to put parts of itself into various human bodies on this Earth — through time, or at the same time.  It may enter into (and live through) corrupt, immoral, political, governmental, financial, and other social leaders, and ordinary people as well.  If someone lives for sex, money, and power over others — without conscience or any true sense of right and wrong — they could be a likely candidate for that sort of possession or incarnation of Evil.  Interestingly, when Satan dwells in a human body, he generally does not have the greater power, consciousness, or knowledge that he has as a non-physical entity.  In other words, Satan finds himself limited by the constraints of the human body, very much like other people.  At times, he is able to draw upon the "dark side of the force," but he does not commonly express great psychic ability; rather, he is just more cunning, egotistical, conscienceless, and self-absorbed than an ordinary person.  Satan generally does not know — is not aware of — who he is when he is in a human life.  Often he thinks he is "doing good."

The evilness which Satan (the non-physical entity) commonly breeds in this world as a whole is not enough; Satan feels the need to come here, personally, and do more.  So, that consciousness, spiritual entity, or being, often manifests in human form in this world.  It takes on a body (or multiple bodies), and does its evil personally, very personally.  Consider Adolph Hitler.  There was a major part of Satan in that body.  It would be superfluous to itemize the evils of Hitler; he believed in eliminating all of the weak or "inferior" elements of society, killing off the handicapped, the mentally retarded, and various ethnic groups — and getting rid of anyone who thought differently from him.  Perhaps you recognize that ranting, insane, deceiving, twisted, self-absorbed megalomaniac.  There have been others, many others, throughout history (and long before recorded history).  Satan has been Fuhrer, Pharaoh, Khan, King, President, and Pope.  The misleading, entrapment, enslavement, delusion, and exploitation of the masses is his forte.  The great seer Nostradamus was said to have prophesied the incarnation of the Antichrist as someone named "Hister" (many centuries before Hitler).  Martin Luther the Christian reformationist called the pope the Antichrist, and the Vatican an evil Antichrist institution.  Many deep thinkers have realized that the Antichrist is a spiritual force, or consciousness, which takes part in human affairs on this Earth, personally.

What is the kind of personality, thinking, and behavior that the Devil might exhibit?  First and foremost is total self-absorption, self-centeredness, self-importance — the unchanging belief that the world must revolve around him.  He is all that matters in his world; no one and nothing matters to him, except the extent to which they might serve him, support him, elevate him, aggrandize him, profit him, or worship him.  The Devil's behavior is demonstrably immoral, including fornicating, committing adultery, lying, cheating, stealing, abusing, exploiting, deceiving, and even murdering.  Would you recognize the Devil in human form?  Understand, he does not reveal his true nature, especially to those he wishes to deceive.  If you can be fooled by a used car salesperson, do you think you could recognize, confront, or overcome Evil incarnate?  Satan can present as the most humble, trusting, charming sort of person.  But, then, many serial killers present that way.  They are supreme actors; they know how to play people, how to say exactly what people want to hear, how to disarm them, how to con them, how to win them over with a smile or a promise.  Often, Satan is seen as some sort of "savior" of the people, in a perverse way, in his attempt to counteract any Divine Good.

There is an entire class of spiritual beings — demons — million and millions on this planet, who are created by the Devil, to serve the Devil.  They, too, are generally walking around in human bodies, of all ages, races, religions, sex, and nationality.  Evil can have a very ordinary face.  A large percentage of the denizens of this world have in fact come here from Hell, to serve their creator, Satan, who has ruled this world — and corrupted and degraded life — for a very, very long time.  If you were to try to conceive of the most perfect (or Divine) world that you could imagine, there would probably be no sickness, suffering, death, abuse, corruption, lies, exploitation, deception, or evil.  That is in fact the way the Divine realms truly are.  This planet, in contrast, has every form of evilness, suffering, torture, and perversity imaginable, and is far closer to a spiritual hell than a heavenly or Divine world.

So, there are all sorts of very real demons walking around on this Earth, in human bodies, in very normal looking bodies and roles.  You cannot tell from the outer physical appearance what spiritual entity or essence dwells within.  The worst known serial killer was a doctor in the UK, who killed off at least two hundred and fifty of his patients over the years.  So, the Devil does not necessarily have to look like Charles Manson.  He can be quite ordinary looking, though he tends to be a prominent member of society.  Prominence in society — and a respectable position — provides a cover for the Antichrist.  People tend to only suspect a common criminal, thief, or murderer of being evil; they overlook the more cunning, deceptive, and covert examples of evil incarnate, in prominent doctors, national leaders, religious leaders, and so on.  Such people are considered "respectable" simply because of their position, not due to their inner spiritual nature.  Think of Bill Clinton.  (No, we will not say Bill Clinton is the Devil, but it is interesting to note that a poll taken by the NY Post newspaper for the most evil person of the last millennium gave Bill Clinton the number two ranking, right behind Adolph Hitler.)  It is ironic but the Devil is able to pretend to be here to do "good," and can act so well, and lie and deceive so well, that he can rise to high positions of trust, with enormous popular support.  He is totally convincing in his lies.  Think of Adolph Hitler.

Satan is the great deceiver.  In many roles, he plays someone who appears to contribute something to society, such as a president, a religious leader, or some other leader.  The trappings of power suit Satan quite well, and, certainly, a church has never kept the Devil out.  The clergy of the Catholic Church is filled with demons, abusers, sexual predators, and so on.  Its inquisitions have tortured and killed countless innocent men, women, and children.  Perversely, this has all been done in the name of "Christ."

Ordinary people are extraordinarily ignorant of, or live in denial of, Evil.  New Agers assert that there is no such thing as evil.  Evil does not exist; everything is perfect and in "divine" order; it is only human beings who fail to perceive this; and, if they seem to suffer, well, they asked for it.  They preach: "you create your own reality."  Satan could not be happier about that; his very existence is totally concealed and denied, and all manner of evil which he sponsors is blindly accepted, excused — and even justified — as some sort of "divine" will.  How evil.  But, traditional religionists are just as blind.  They generally believe (or are taught) that only they, only those of their religion or sect, are going to heaven.  And, they imagine that the false religious doctrines they have learned will protect them from evil — while they go through life drinking, gambling, committing adultery, lying, cheating, abusing their spouses, and so on.  Really, are they "protected" from Evil?  Finally, there are those people who rely upon psychology to deal with evil.  In most forms of popular psychology, there is no such thing as evil, or evil people.  There is only "bad behavior" or dysfunctional relationships.  No one is ever bad, only their behavior is bad.  So, once again, the existence of Evil in any form is totally denied.  This suits the Devil quite well.  The less aware people are of Evil — the pervasive spiritual force — the more accepting they are of it.  Today, rape does not even make the news.  It is just a normal part of life.  Torture is taught to police and military authorities worldwide (especially by the US) as a normal part of their curriculum.  The Vatican objects to the use of the word "pedophilia" in describing the sexual assaults by its clerics, because the countless victims were not all young children.  Think about that.  It tries to cover up and protect its priests, and protests the use of a word to describe their heinous acts of rape and sodomy as being too harsh.  Clearly, Evil has a lot of support and followers in this world, ready and willing to carry out its agenda, especially the abuse and exploitation of the innocent.

Just as Satan is real, so are his chief cohorts: demons.  Demons are the spiritual opposite of angels.  Once again, these are not the figment of people's imaginations; they exist.  They are real, and they, too, possess and inhabit human bodies.  There are countless demons on this Earth.  Many are found in the ranks of the rich and famous, the lusty, greedy, egotistical pretenders.  They may be found anywhere from a common prostitute on the street to a princess at Buckingham Palace (who, ironically, acts just like a common prostitute with the stable hands, contrary to her public persona).  Demons are drawn to money, sex, and power; they lack any true inner conscience, and often rise up to favored positions of wealth, authority, and power.  And, yes, they really like to rise up in the various churches and organized religions.

Demons are just as likely to turn up in academia as in Hollywood or the Vatican.  Evil beings are quite adept at acting "good."  The lesser demons simply cause mayhem in the streets, or abuse and exploit those they have contact with.  The greater demons know how to hide their perverse nature in public; they know that all they have to do is be more cunning, more ruthless, and more ambitious than others, and they will rise into positions of greater power.  They keep their eye on the goal, and, because demons are in fact more cunning and deceptive than ordinary humans, they often reach their goal in society.  Remarkably, the most evil beings are often the most popular, whether politicians or movie stars.  They have a way of programming the masses, or hypnotizing them.  This is why Hitler was adored by millions, who could see no wrong in him.  Many ordinary people are used to living under the dominion of Satan, spiritually, and see nothing out of the ordinary in Satan incarnate; many others are made to serve him, and are demons themselves.

So, this sets the stage for life on planet Earth: there is Satan, generally hiding behind the scenes, and coordinating all evil, suffering, abuse, exploitation, and death.  And there is the supporting cast of countless demons ready to do his bidding, without the Devil even needing to ask.  It is in their nature.  It is what they do.  Most do not even believe there is such a thing as Evil, or believe that they are evil.  They often think of themselves as quite "successful," whether in politics, religion, music, acting, law, finance, or medicine.

This world suits the Devil and his demons quite well; compared to the greater depths of Hell (which also exists) from which they come, it is almost like a "heaven" for them.  Compared to the Divine realms, though, this world is not at all different from Hell.  So, who would you expect to rule here, spiritually, but the Devil?  This is why Satan is not simply a myth to describe an unseen corruption of human nature.  Satan is real.

Consider Herod the Great, from whom we have the original slaughter of the "innocents."  His reign began in bloodshed and ended in terror.  "Herod's gifts of mind and body were many.  'He was such a warrior as could not be withstood .  .  .  .  fortune was also very favourable to him' , yet 'a man of great barbarity towards all men equally and a slave to his passions; but above the consideration of what was right'.  His ruling passions were jealousy and ambition, which urged him to sacrifice even those that were nearest and dearest to him: murder and munificence were equally good as means to an end.  The slaughter of the Innocents squares perfectly with what history relates of him."  King Herod is remarkably like King Arthur, whom mythology tends to treat as some sort of savior.  King Arthur was real, and was of exactly the same spiritual essence and sensibilities as Herod.  Such beings evidence a combination of insatiable lust and use of women, desire for power, total immorality, endless slaughter, and betrayal of those closest to them.  Among other things, Herod put to death two of his own sons, whom he accused of trying to usurp him; and Arthur tried to burn his queen and bride Gwenevere at the stake.  "When his end drew near, [Herod] gave orders to have the principal men of the country shut up in the hippodrome at Jericho and slaughtered as soon as he had passed away, that his grave might not be without the tribute of tears.  This barbarous command was not carried into effect."  Some beings in history are just so evil — Evil incarnate — that it is not difficult to appreciate their true identity.  It is Satan, that being which despises peace, honesty, loyalty, justice, innocence, goodness, truth, love, and God, above all.  It is as if he is on a mission to destroy those things, everywhere.

Satan lived as the conqueror Genghis Khan.  "To people of the thirteen century, Genghis Khan was a blood-thirsty, evil-bringer, leader of the hordes from hell.  During his reign, from 1206 to 1227, his hordes killed approximately 25 millions of people (a very large number in the thirteen century), destroyed hundreds of cities.  However, to the Mongols, he was viewed as a hero and a beloved father."  In many lives, the Devil is seen as "a beloved father" of the people — which is precisely the manner in which Adolph Hitler, King Arthur, and Ramses III were seen by their people.  Often, Satan destroys cities and nations; at other times he builds cities and monuments to himself, to his own "greatness."  Herod did this as well, and was praised for his public works.  In reality, such structures are nothing more than monuments to evil, so that the masses will think kindly of him and overlook his evilness.  It is "sympathy for the Devil," a very popular tool of the Devil, whereby he disarms any criticism of his horrendously evil acts and slaughter, as if they were all being done to accomplish some "greater good."  King Arthur, the conqueror, did no less in the region now known as Great Britain, and was also "viewed as a hero and a beloved father" of the people.  So, a popular mythology was built around him, contrary to his actual life of endless bloodshed, debauchery, deceit, treachery, and evilness.  Like the Devil he was, he claimed to be bringing peace (via war); a higher good (via the lowest evil and wickedness); love and devotion (while he lustfully consorted with the witch Morgana and every loose woman in the village); and justice (via the original kangaroo court he set up, complete with false witnesses and perjured testimony, in the blatant attempt to unjustly burn his wife, Queen Gwenevere, at the stake).  Are you beginning to see a pattern in the massive slaughter that Satan takes most pleasure in, under the cover of "doing good" for the people, or "uniting" them?

In their twisted thinking, and their own words, many of the worst incarnations of Satan have the self-stated purpose of bringing the "highest good" (or God) to the people of the world!  Christopher Columbus declared his mission as bringing Christ and the word of God to the rest of the world; he even "prayed" so.  Columbus' words describe the native people he met: "They are so artless and free with all they possess, that no one would believe it without having seen it.  Of anything they have, if you ask them for it, they never say no; rather they invite the person to share it, and show as much love as if they were giving their hearts; and whether the thing be of value or of small price, at once they are content with whatever little thing of whatever kind may be given to them."  Such simple, kind, benevolent, generous, loving, and good nature, Columbus interpreted as weakness; and so he set upon destroying them all, raping, killing, pillaging, stealing everything he could, enslaving and starving them to death.  "After he failed to contact the emperor of China, the traders of India or the merchants of Japan, Columbus decided to pay for his voyage in the one important commodity he had found in ample supply — human lives."

"Setting up shop on the large island he called Espanola (today Haiti and the Dominican Republic), he promptly instituted policies of slavery (encomiendo) and systematic extermination against the native Taino population.  Columbus's programs reduced Taino numbers from as many as eight million at the outset of his regime [in 1493] to about three million in 1496.  Perhaps 100,000 were left by the time of [Columbus's] departure [in 1500].  His policies, however, remained, with the result that by 1514 the Spanish census of the island showed barely 22,000 Indians remaining alive."  "Columbus' actions launched an era of modern colonialism, rape, pillage, genocide, cultural destruction, slavery, economic & environmental devastation."  "He was wrong about some very basic things .  But more important was his authoritative nature and his unwillingness to consider the interests of others.  He was greedy.  He was egotistical and over dramatized his achievements .  He was a bad administrator and experience taught him nothing."  Another source says, "Columbus is much more than a representation of evil; he is the very embodiment of that evil."  "All told, it is probable that more than one hundred million native people were 'eliminated' in the course of Europe's ongoing 'civilization' of the Western Hemisphere."  "Columbus makes Hitler look like a juvenile delinquent" (Russell Means).  We will not detail the unimaginably barbaric torture, atrocities, and slaughter instituted by Columbus on innocent men, women, children, and babies; we'll just say that nothing Hitler's SS did even comes close.

When people think of "evil incarnate," Adolph Hitler most often comes to mind.  He is associated with that phrase more closely than any other person in history.  If you wonder how someone like Columbus or Hitler thinks, or how they justify their actions, here is Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy (as he wrote in The Antichrist), which undoubtedly inspired Hitler:
What is good?—Whatever augments the feeling of power, the will to power, power itself, in man.

What is evil?—Whatever springs from weakness.

What is happiness?—The feeling that power increases—that resistance is overcome.  Not contentment, but more power; not peace at any price, but war; not virtue, but efficiency....

The weak and the botched shall perish: first principle of our charity.  And one should help them to it.
Goodness, kindness, and compassion are loathed by the Evil one.  They are seen as weakness, and an opportunity to return goodness with evil.  Judas was offered Jesus' love, kindness, knowledge, and grace.  He returned the priceless gift of Divine Grace, with total hate, jealousy, cunning, and betrayal.  That is a pattern repeated in the life of the Devil, in many, many lives.  He is a being who has no Love or Light in him.  Satan enters human affairs at key points, to try to sabotage any saving work of the Light, or the True God.  He does not need to be a very important person; he just needs to be in a position to thwart the Divine, to exacerbate human suffering on a grand scale, to put in place patterns of human suffering, exploitation, deceit, and illusion.  And, in this world, where evil is so often justified in the name of "good" or "god," where the powerful exploit the powerless, where every sort of illusion is promoted, where slavery and racism and slaughter have been justified "in the name of God," and where suffering is universal, Satan rules.  Nietzsche even proclaimed that "God is dead" — revealing his deep contempt, hate, and belief that this was so.  It is the Devil himself who cut this world off from the Divine, from Truth and Light, and then set about convincing people that there is no God.  Then he set about destroying them.

Satan always thinks he knows better than anyone, especially God, because he prefers to think that he actually is God.  But, as his autobiography reveals, he is only an "evil god," a usurper, and certainly not the True God of Love, Light, Wisdom, Peace, Truth, and Good.  If the Devil showed up with horns, a tail, and the number 666 tattooed on his forehead, he would be easily recognized.  He is not that stupid.  He is the master of deceit, often pretending to be good just to deceive everyone.  So, he writes about evil, as if to show that he is good.  He even writes of the Antichrist, to pretend that he is entirely different from such a being.  He teaches "enlightenment" while keeping mankind in bondage, ignorance, and spiritual darkness.  He writes of love but has no love in him.  He writes of the Divine but has none of the Divine qualities in him.  He professes to bring truth and light to the world, but only enshrouds it in perpetual darkness.  He is the ultimate hypocrite.

So, if Satan is real, and does live in this world, who is the real Satan at the present time?  We will not say.  However, we will tell you that Satan (or parts of Satan) may be walking around in this world right now, and may be in male or female bodies of any age.  Remember, we are really talking about a spiritual entity that can flow into a physical body just as easily as water flows into a glass.  If one life, role, or body does not suit, he can take another.  The fact that Satan has lived many lives on this Earth should hint that he does not die when he drops the body he is using.  He is a spiritual entity, a non-physical consciousness which has been able to flow in and out of human affairs, with only the barest restriction or harnessing by the Light of God.  The destiny of Satan is total madness, as Satan finds nowhere left to hide from the Light, and nowhere else to go but back to the deepest reaches of Hell, to await his End.  That is occurring now.

Many evangelicals, especially televangelists, proudly claim to do battle with Satan.  They say "Satan, get thee behind," and imagine that this actually happens, that they can command Satan.  Even if they do this in the name of Jesus, they know not what they do.  First of all, many televangelists are demons themselves, and would be the last ones to ever confront the real Devil.  Secondly, the ones who have been sincere in their belief that they have fought Satan and put him in his place, may have, at best, confronted some minor demon.  More likely, they have merely played a game in their mind, using Satan as a metaphor for the "bad" which they hope to rebuke.  In other words, the Devil (who is also Satan), is a being so far beyond human beings, that they would be incapable of fighting him or confronting him in any real way.  That evil force, or spiritual consciousness, spans the universe; it can only be dealt with by the True God, whose true existence is beyond (and greater than) this universe.  Satan came to this world with hordes of followers, and enlisted many more, on many levels.  The often-mentioned Lucifer of the Bible is not the true "Light Bringer" (as the word means).  Lucifer (who is also Satan and the Antichrist) is the opposite of The Light.  Note the typical reversal of meaning — to confuse Light with darkness, Truth with falsehood, Reality with illusion, and Good with evil.  Lucifer is the bringer of darkness not Light, no matter how much he declares that he brought the true Light of God to this world.  He only brings greater spiritual darkness.  Lucifer did instigate and lead a rebellion of angels in heaven, making false promises.  With limitless deceit, he was able to cause spiritual beings to abandon the true Light, and the True God.  The Antichrist is a consciousness or being who has taken upon himself the role of trying to defeat Christ, the Light, the Truth, and the Way.  Where Christ is Love, the Devil is hate; where Christ is Truth, the Devil is the lie; where Christ is the Way to eternal Life, the Devil is the way of the world, and the path to hell.  The Devil, the Antichrist, Lucifer, this spiritual being is not a mythological character, or figure created in the mind of man to explain the limitless evil or wrongs that are seen in this world.  The Antichrist is alive and well and generally walking around on this Earth.

Perhaps you think that you have somehow avoided the Devil in your life.  He doesn't seem to be around, does he?  Maybe you think you are fortunate not to have met up with Adolph Hitler or Christopher Columbus, or their minions from hell.  But, that doesn't mean you have escaped the dominion of Satan in this world.  How many billions of people are trapped in the forced labor that Satan cherishes, just hoping to have enough to eat each day?  People live in economic bondage, in day to day survival; they often work two jobs just to pay their bills, or get free for perhaps a week or so each year on vacation (and holidays like Columbus Day).  Their entire lives are lived in submission to a totally controlling, oppressive, exploitative force.  It is not that much different from slavery.  People are occupied with material pursuits, and have little time or interest in spiritual growth.  Their vision is trapped within very narrow confines, indeed.  This is why people cannot even recognize Satan when he lives a human life and walks right before them.  They are used to living under his rule.  They are quick to say that their pharaoh, king, or president is doing a good job, and who are they to judge his immorality or blood lust.  And, Satan depends upon this short-sightedness of humankind, and its refusal to confront evil — especially when it is close to home.  Evil is seen as something that dwells in some foreign land, in people who speak a different language, who have a different skin color or facial features, who have a different ethnic or tribal background, or who think differently.  To this day, real slavery is rampant in this world.  Satan has many supporters who are hell-bent on perpetuating the reign of Evil in this world, who live and die for him.  Satan lives wherever there is racism, exploitation, abuse, corruption, and killing.  In this way, Satan rules human life, and has done so for ages.

If the angels in heaven could be deceived by Satan, and they are much higher and purer spiritual beings than human beings, then it should not surprise anyone to realize that humankind has been deceived by lies, false promises, cunning, manipulation, and corrupt spiritual "teachings."  It has happened, over, and over, and over, and over.  The greatest evil is the pretense of spiritual good; this is what deceives, confuses, and destroys the good spiritual beings.

It is much easier to recognize Evil when it looks evil.  That is precisely why Satan mastered the art of deception, especially the act of pretending to be good.  People have mistakenly assumed that the Devil could not hide behind the front of spirituality or religious teachings.  In that way, he has been able to fool nearly everyone over time.  So, it would undoubtedly surprise people to realize that Satan has often been treated kindly by history, and even been taken for a true spiritual leader.  It might be beyond the imagination of most people that Evil incarnate in one body would fight Evil in another body, but it has happened before.  Think of Adolph Hitler (bringing genocide and forced labor camps to Germany) fighting Joseph Stalin — who was later to bring even worse genocide and forced labor camps to Russia, slaughtering tens of millions.  Stalin was embraced by the West in its fight against Hitler, but was made from the same spiritual substance.  Like Hitler, he pretended to be simple, honest, spiritual, loving, selfless, and the great father-figure protector of his homeland.  Then he perpetrated as much spiritual oppression and death as he could, in the name of some "higher good."

Countless people have been fooled by Satan pretending to be "good."  Over time, Satan's wicked lives are embellished, and the lies, deception, abuse, and corruption are concealed, overlooked, or forgotten.  In fact, more often than not, Satan is looked at quite kindly by history.  There are people today who are rewriting the history of Hitler, declaring that he was certainly not evil incarnate, but just a man with good intentions who actually did good works.  The Devil relies upon the fact that most people do not care at all about history, or what happened in the past.  They do not care about anything, really, but themselves, and their own little lives; they have enough worries and cares to occupy them, without needing to contemplate the bigger issues of life on earth or worry about the past.  And so, Satan has accomplished his work throughout time with very little interference, and almost no recognition.  Even now, when there are readily available media revealing the horror and deceptions of the past, people will not bother to look at them or put the pieces together.

Many people have written about Satan or the Antichrist, but they almost always have the belief that the Antichrist is waiting to be released on earth, that he has always been held captive by the True God.  Some even imagine that the Devil is barred from human affairs on planet earth, because "god" perfected this world by bringing light to it and dispelling the darkness.  Clearly, this has never been the case.  That being — Satan, the Devil, the Antichrist, Lucifer — has been here all the time, quite unknown to humankind.  There are even those who would argue that Satan is doing the will of God, that evil is necessary to perfect the human soul, that evil is needed to balance out Good.  None of that is true.  Light and Darkness have nothing at all in common; and, certainly, Goodness can exist quite well without Evil.  Some, such as Jung, have argued for the necessity of evil as a psychological force which must manifest in humankind to express the "shadow" or repressed self.  This, too, is quite evil.  Jung wrote about the existence of Satan, and noted that the Bible (in Job) says that Satan was a son of God.  This raises the philosophical question commonly referred to as the "Problem of Evil."  How could a True God of Light and ultimate Good create evil?  How could a being be created that was unlike its creator?

Some religious philosophies, declaring that God could not create anything unlike the Creator, excuse away the existence of evil by declaring it to be an illusion.  But, evil does not go away, it is not resolved by denial.  Those who do not believe in God may believe there couldn't be a True God given the existence of suffering, death, and evilness.  Yet, there is a True God.  God has been hoping to bring all of the creation — including the part that went very, very wrong, here — back to the Light.  The Light, the Truth, and the Way have been offered countless times to Satan and all of those whom he created in his own image (with less and less Light, or no Light at all).  But, Satan never responded.  The True God sought to harness Satan with Light, and offer Divine salvation, while balancing out the evil done by the usurping, rebellious Devil.  And so, there have been massive inflows of Divine Light and Love into this world to sustain the True spiritual beings, and there have been ongoing evacuations of the True spiritual beings — to a Pure Divine realm of Light, where there is no evil whatsoever.  Evil has never been necessary or desirable, but as long as it has manifested itself on this level, God has needed to balance it with Goodness and Light; otherwise no one would have survived spiritually at all.  Understand, Evil has ruled this world — and for the most part isolated it from the True God — for a very long time.  So, it is not true that God rules everything here; Satan took that job upon himself long ago.

Just as there have been many, many incarnations of Satan, there have also been "incarnations" of the Divine.  In other words, the True God has taken human form and walked on this Earth as well.  Isn't it obvious that Jesus Christ was the Divine incarnate?  Only the True God is capable of doing battle with Satan.  It is not just a matter of confronting the physical body which happens to have the essence of Satan within.  That body can just die off, but Satan would continue to live, and find another suitable host.  So, the solution to the quandary of Evil incarnate must be to remove that evil being from the Light, totally, so that it has no spiritual energy on which to live.  And, it will die, spiritually, forever.  That is happening now.  The Devil has proven, finally, that it is totally impervious to Love, Light, Truth, and Goodness.  And, it has chosen its final fate: to exist no more.  As the Devil disintegrates, now, all that is built upon his deception, illusions, lies, and pretense will fall apart as well.  That is why this world will increasingly fall apart.

There is a new world, a Divine world, free from all evil, suffering, pain, exploitation, falsehood, and death.  It is not here.  It will not be here on Earth.  It is in the True Divine Creation, and it is ruled by the True God of Love, Light, and Peace.  The fortunate will find the Way there.
